The job doesn’t end when you leave the driveway
A better way to understand what an inspection really costs you.

Count the whole job
The appointment is only part of the work. Travel, scheduling, preparation, reporting, follow-up and collections all consume time. A fee that looks healthy over the hours on site may look very different over the whole job. Start with a short time log for ten completed inspections. Record collected fees, direct costs and every working hour.
Separate capacity from price
A full schedule does not automatically mean a healthy business. Review revenue per total working hour alongside booking conversion, rework and overhead. Then test one deliberate change—such as a clearly explained travel adjustment—rather than changing several variables at once.
Give yourself a useful next step
Open the pricing calculator and enter your current assumptions. Replace those assumptions with observed numbers as you collect them. Treat the result as a decision aid, not a promise of income. Revisit your pricing whenever the scope or cost of delivering the service changes.
